Smoking Hotspots

Survey respondents - regardless of tobacco status - were presented an item featuring a clickable map of the greater Lawrence campus with the following instructions Think about where you see the most amount of smoking on campus.  Click up to three areas where you typically see the most amount of smoking. The "heat map" provides a visual account of where respondents indicated (by clicking) they saw the most smoking on campus with dark orange/red areas indicating of the greatest number of participant responses.

The highest concentrations of cigarette smokers were observed on Wescoe Beach, the sidewalks outside of the Kansas Union, outside Fraser Hall, and the residence halls on west campus.
